WHAT IS THE WEAPON AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
machine guns were advanced weapons introduced in world war 1, these guns fired 400-600 rounds per minute. Each gun required four to six operaters. by harnessing the energy released in a cartridge, you are able to pull the trigger and release multiple bullets. WHEN AND WHERE WAS THIS USED? WHO INVENTED IT? WHY WAS IT INVENTED? THE MACHINE GUN IS A PRODUCT OF THE SECOND INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, IT WAS INVENTED BY AN AMERICAN-BORN MAN NAMED HIRAM MAXIM IN 1883. It was first used in world war 1, all major powers in the war equiped thier armies with the guns. The machine gun was used in majority of world war 1 battles, including battle of verdun, battle of the somme, brusilov offensive and other important battles. While Maxim was at a paris Electrical Exhibition he met a man who told him if he wAnted to make money, he should invent something that would enable the Europeans to kill eachother woth great facility. After that maxim moved to london and began working on inventing a machine gun. Hiram invented the machine gun becuase multiple barrel ideas were tested and the machine gun worked the best. BATTLE OF VERDUN FOUGHT FROM 21ST OF FEBRUARY TO DECEMBER 18, 1916. WAS ONE PF THE LONGEST AND LARGEST BATTLE OF THE WAR, MACHINE GUNS PLAYED A BIG RULE IN THIS BATTLE.
